![]() Played in this vain, CoH2 is already entertaining. As with all games, playing against a similarly skilled opponent is the key to having fun. We're both relative novices, and still getting to grips with the game's basics, but when played against each other, things became much more enjoyable. It wasn't just me that was having trouble with the pesky AI, when co-oping against two computer-controlled forces we were both totally overwhelmed within minutes. We were both learning the ropes, and as such it was a much more forgiving experience. Oh and in keeping with their usual tradition, the game will be PC-only, if you haven't already guessed.Against another human player I fare a little better, even after several games. Relic seems to be keeping out of the usual paid DLC rat race that has overtaken so many games recently. Rather than the day one DLC packages we've seen with other titles, this will be a free inclusion for pre-orders to get new content earlier. There is also some information on a "season pass" of sorts. Keys will be given out events, and pre-orders will of course get access as well. In addition to the recent Developer Diary video, there's also new information out on when we can expect to start playing the beta, as well as information on what DLC and future content will look like, and more importantly how much it will cost.Ī post on the official forums also outlines the start of beta, which will begin shortly after the new year. The sequel to the smash hit is gearing up, and this time focusing on the Eastern front of World War II between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union. It's a good day for fans of Relic and their RTS games, specifically Company of Heroes.
